Whether you’re doing a triumphant triathlon, some soul-stretching yoga, relentless rock climbing or ballsy beach volleyball, play your best with KT Tape!  It’s hard not to do a double take when you see athletes donning brightly colored tape on their toned bodies.  But what is it exactly?  How does it work?

It’s Kinesiology Therapeutic Tape (KT Tape) and it’s used for common sports injuries such as ITBS, runners knee, shin splints, hamstring strain, & many more. Ultra-light, elastic, and strong, KT Tape is highly effective at providing pain relief, stability & support, & faster recovery for injured or sore muscles and joints.

Sounds pretty sweet!  Be a Top Skimbler in September and score some KT Tape to wrap all your aches and pains away.

We had a great time stress-testing KT Tape, finding it to be the most flexible and durable athletic tape that we’ve ever used.

Ligaya happily recovers from a minor knee injury and gets her physiotherapy on:

Gabe sports the green and black combo on his back during a sport climbing session:

And if you’re looking for some more wild success stories, we just came back from rock climbing Mt Whitney, the tallest peak in the contiguous United States.  We wore KT Tape on our knees to prevent injury and ensure we were able to to a little yoga and a lot of climbing up its 14,505 feet peak:

If you’d like more information about the tape, visit the KT Tape website.  Be sure to check out their blog and get tips for excellent adhesion, sports prevention and recovery!  If you can’t wait, grab some KT Tape at a store near you.

Banner-mountainhardwear

Thanks to our good friends at Mountain Hardwear, this month we will be giving away some awesome summer adventure outfits! For men, we have the Ravine Short Sleeve Shirt and Wildlands Shorts. Here’s Gabe looking good in his Mountain Hardwear gear as he prepares for his next great adventure:

Gabe enjoyed the Mountain Hardwear shirt and shorts in Yosemite National Park. Both are lightweight and cooling, important during the hot dry summers in the High Sierras. Also, the pants have a great lining, which makes them super comfortable! From the discreet shirt pockets to a key holder in the shorts, Mountain Hardwear has all the details right.

And the gear for the women is just as cool including the Loess Tank Top and High Step Judo Crops.

Maria put the women’s outfit to work at a yoga studio, a TRX workout class, a rock climbing competition, and on a roadtrip to Smith Rock State Park, OR. The best thing about the top? It’s form fitting yet comfortable and looks great with its criss-cross back design. The pants: Also a hit, especially since they come with a seamless right side pocket that’s perfect for your ID, lip balm and iPhone!

Check out the action-shot of her in the Judo Crops on a 5.13a at the TRS4 Touchstone Climbing Competition, where she place 2nd overall in the series:

As you can tell, all of us at Skimble are huge fans of Mountain Hardwear’s gear and athletes. Here’s Mike Libecki and Maria at a Lombardi Sports event last month in San Francisco:
