Skimble’s Free Workout of the Week: Covid Challenge 2 (by Trainer Miguel Gisbert)

Let’s make the most of this lockdown! You don’t need any equipment for this bodyweight workout, so you can dive straight in. Follow the proper warm-up at the beginning of the workout and do some additional joint mobility exercises or dynamic stretching, if needed. Remember to also include a proper cool down at the end of the workout, like walking or jogging to slow down your heart rate gradually. If you have any questions, just ask me! 🙂

This workout was created by Skimble Trainer: Miguel Gisbert. He is currently accepting new clients for Online Personal Training, so head on over to his profile in Workout Trainer and tap ‘Start 1:1 Training’ to get help from a dedicated expert.

Workout Trainer by Skimble: Compete on the LeaderboardHow do I earn Activity Points?

Each time you complete a workout, you’ll be able to see the number of Activity Points you’ve earned on the Workout Summary page. If you have a smartwatch or Heart Rate monitor, don’t forget to connect it so you get more points for your training sessions. The more time you spend in higher Heart Rate zones, the more Activity Points you’ll earn. It’s that simple!

Workout Trainer by Skimble: Compete on the LeaderboardHow does the Leaderboard work?

Any workout you complete with a smartwatch or Heart Rate monitor will get counted on the Heart Rate Leaderboard. All workouts, including HR ones, will get counted on the All Workouts Leaderboard. Check your current position at any time by tapping the ‘Leaders’ option in the ‘Community’ tab.

Workout Trainer by Skimble: Compete on the Leaderboard

Great! When can I start?

The Leaderboard resets at the beginning of every month so you can get a fresh start and try to best your previous month! You can also jump in at any point during the month… the key is to simply keep doing workouts on a regular basis.

Workout Trainer by Skimble: Compete on the LeaderboardI’m a beginner… can I still earn points and compete against the pros?

You sure can! You will still be able to earn activity points even if you are doing casual-level workouts. We designed the leaderboard to be as inclusive as possible so every exercise completed will earn you points. Workouts are plentiful so just find something that works for you and keep moving!

Absolutely! Rally your friends to train with you in Workout Trainer. It’ll help you hold yourself (and your friends) accountable whilst making your weekly workouts so much more fun. Send workout recommendations to each other, share fitness selfies, and ‘like’ the progress you’re making together! To invite friends to join you, head to the Community tab > tap the Friends option > + Friends. All of the friends you follow will then start getting ranked along with you each month. Head over to your personalized Friends Leaderboard within the Leaderboard section and how you stack up on the Home tab!

Skimble’s Free Workout of the Week: 3 x [3 x 3] Bodyweight Workout (by Trainer Brian Fallon)

This is a HIIT Functional Strength Workout. You will do three separate exercises back-to-back for one minute each, followed by a one-minute rest break. It is important to do these exercises with as perfect form as possible, and do NOT rush through them! You want to get to where you can perform 8 to 12 repetitions of each exercise within the one minute period. If you can do more, wonderful, but use caution! Do too much, too fast, and you will not make it through the entire circuit!

This workout was created by Skimble Trainer: Brian Fallon. He is currently accepting new clients for Online Personal Training, so head on over to his profile in Workout Trainer and tap ‘Start 1:1 Training’ to get help from a dedicated expert.
